About the event

We are excited to announce the opening of our new Community Pool Party location hosted by SuperDive at the Variety Boys & Girls Club of Queens, located at 21-12 30th Rd, Queens, NY 11102!!! Celebrate this great new beginning by joining us for a pool party from 10 PM to 1 AM. It’s the perfect time to enjoy a refreshing night swim with your neighbors. Don’t miss out on the fun—mark your calendars and bring your swimsuits!

Calling all scuba divers, freedivers, and merfolk! There will be music and pool access for you to hang out and socialize in the water. Bring your own equipment or contact info@superdive.nyc ahead of time to make arrangements in advance. Mermaiding / scuba diving / freediving equipment is optional - there will also be floats, toys, etc. for anyone to enjoy.

Social Scuba:

  • Open Water Scuba Diver certification is required to attend this event as a scuba diver. Folks with a Scuba Diver level certification or who are enrolled in an entry level SuperDive scuba course (and have completed at least one in=person lesson) may attend with advanced notice at SuperDive's discretion.

 Freedivers:

  • Entry level Freediver certification is required to engage in breath-hold activities. Each breath-hold requires strict adherence to breath-hold safety technique, including exit/recovery protocol and direct 1-1 supervision by another certified freediver.

 Mermaid Pod:

  • A mermaid certification is not yet required to attend (scheduled to change Summer 2024), but this is a social event, NOT a lesson.  You are responsible for engaging at your own risk and according to your skill level. We recommend attending a Mermaid Class if you would like to learn the basics of mermaiding with an instructor.

First-timers: Before attending you MUST RSVP and fill out paperwork here: First-Timer Registration Link

Minors may attend if accompanied by a Parent/Guardian/Designated Responsible Adult.

Please consider making a donation of any size to Underwater 4 All nonprofit organization to help continue funding accessible community programming like this.

This event has a group. You’re welcome to join the group once you register for the event.
